The Irish trilogy – Nora Roberts

On to the next of the trilogy. NR let you wonder what the next story is going to be. So here is how I think of it.

Tears of the Moon

goodread rating : 4.18

Going back to the beauty of Ireland, Gallagher’s Pub and the O’Toole family, it brings out the realization of being friends and how it complicates the romance.

Shawn Gallagher being the cook at the pub and having a fashion for writing songs spends his days lost in reverie and wonder, oblivious to the wiles of women and the ways of the world. He claims that he’s content with his life, but his music tells a different story—one of loneliness and desperate longing…

Brenna O’Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years understands him and make an effort to get him to realize his fate with her. With love, anger, frustration and determination both comes to realize that they are meant for each other.

Tears of the Moon

“You don’t fix a man the way you do a fault in a pipe or a leak in a roof. You take him as he is, Mary Brenna, or you don’t take him at all…adjustments can’t be all made on one side, darling, else the balance goes off and what’s being built just falls down.”

In between the story of Brenna and Shawn we get to hear about Magee but it doesn’t say what will be happening which let us curious about the next book.

I am not gonna spoil sports more but the ending was so perfect and it suited the both characters that NR highlighted in this book.
